Protecting your privacy
Your right to privacy is important to us. As such, we endorse fair information handling practices and uses of information in compliance with obligations detailed in the Information Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988.
Your personal information
Personal information held by us may include your name, date of birth, current address details, telephone or mobile phone number, email address, bank account or credit card details, occupation, driver's license number and your employment history, qualifications and references.
The personal information we collect via this website may include:
- the content of any electronic forms you submit via this Website;
- information submitted if you participate in an online survey; and·
- any messages or comments you submit to us via this Website or to email addresses displayed on this Website, which may include personal information such as name, email address and telephone number.
Email addresses provided via this site will only be used to respond to specific user queries and will not be added to any mailing lists, nor disclosed to any other party without users' knowledge and consent, unless required by law.
Occasionally, you may need to provide personal information about other individuals to us (e.g. about your referees). If so, we rely on you to inform those individuals that you are providing their personal information to us and to advise them that we can be contacted for further information (see 'How to contact us' at the end of this brochure).
How we collect personal information
We collect personal information in a number of ways, including:
- directly from you, for example, when you provide information by phone, in application forms or other agreements, or when you submit your personal details through our website;
- from third parties such as our related companies, credit reporting agencies or your referees;
- from publicly available sources of information;
- when you visit our websites.
How we use your personal information
Your personal information may be used to:
- verify your identity;
- to provide recruitment services to you
- support the employer end of the recruitment process
- for other purposes for which you or your company may have engaged Fusion HR
Also, your personal information is collected so that we can promote and market services to you. This is to keep you informed of products, vacancies and services and may continue after you cease acquiring services from us. When we disclose your personal information
In order to deliver the services you require, we may disclose your personal information to organisations outside Fusion HR. Your personal information is disclosed to these organisations only in relation to us providing our services to you.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that all staff, licensees and contractors are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information.
In addition, we may disclose your personal information to:
- other members of the Fusion HR Group;
- our insurers;
- your authorised representatives or your legal advisers (e.g. when requested by you to do so);
- client representatives involved in recruitment and selection process you have expressed interest in;
- credit-reporting and fraud-checking agencies;
- our related companies, Licensees and Contractors;
- our professional advisers, including our accountants, auditors and lawyers;
- workers compensation bodies
- universities, professional organisations or registration bodies (in the process of authorised background checking)
Help us to ensure we hold accurate information
We take all reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
However, the accuracy of that information depends to a large extent on the information you provide. That's why we recommend that you:
- let us know if there are any errors in your personal information; and
- keep us up-to-date with changes to your personal information such as your name or address;
- if you are a subscriber to one of our online products or services, you may change your personal details and/or submit up to date resume information by using the relevant facility on our websites.
Security
We have implemented technology and security policies, rules and measures to protect the personal information that we have under our control. However, you should be aware that there are risks in transmitting information across the Internet. So while we strive to protect such information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us online and individuals do so at their own risk. Once any personal information comes into our possession, we will take reasonable steps to protect that information from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. If you are concerned about conveying sensitive material to us over the Internet, you might prefer to contact us by telephone or mail. We will remove personal information from our system where it is no longer required (except where archiving is required and in order to fulfill our obligations under the Queensland Public Records Act 2002.
You can access your personal information
You have a right to access your personal information, subject to some exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know. You may be required to put your request in writing for security reasons.
We reserve the right to charge a fee for searching for and providing access to your information.
